Welcome to SGUL Summer Schools
At St. George's we pride ourselves on running some of the most innovative and rewarding Spring and Summer School programmes in the country. All are designed to offer an exciting, interactive and educational look at the wide range of career options in medicine and the allied healthcare professions.
The following events are now confirmed for 2012. We hope to announce additional Spring/Summer Schools for students in Years 9, 10 & 11 in the coming months, details of which will be posted as soon as possible.
Title | Time of Year | Age | Res/Non res | Length |
A Taste of Medicine Spring | Spring | Year 12 | Non residential | Four days |
A Taste of Medicine Summer | Summer | Year 12 | Non residential | Five days |
These courses are friendly, lively and fully interactive, covering the full range of healthcare professions offered at the medical school. Not only will you get to attend lectures, tutorials and demonstrations, but also ‘get your hands dirty' by taking part in laboratory work, role play scenarios and clinical skills training. The key to all of the sessions is involvement - these courses aren't for those who sit at the back of the class falling asleep - you'll be an integral part of all of the activities, and you'll play a vital role in making sure the programme is a success.
